Welcome to the website for the Phoenix Quilt Guild of Intown Atlanta!

The Phoenix Quilt Guild of Intown Atlanta is a group of quilters eager to share their love and knowledge of quilting with others through monthly programs, special events and challenges and charitable donations. Our group boasts a wide range of experience from beginners to published, prize winning quilt designers. Our members are interested in all aspects of quilting techniques including both machine and hand quilting. Glorious batiks and interesting ethnic fabrics are generally the preferred medium of expression; however, more traditional fabrics are also represented.

The Georgia Quilt Council Workshop by Billy Lauder will occur on October 10, 2008 at Intown Quilters. Also, the guild is participating in a strip swap challenge. For further details check out the events page

At our Tuesday, 9 September meeting our guest will be Jeannie Mahood, a thoughtful and caring woman who has led many workshops. Jeannie sent us the following about the Proverbial Dolls workshop: Proverbial Dolls are based on an African doll making tradition, where dolls were made from found materials. We will use fabric, yarn, and various materials to embellish and adorn our dolls. Each doll is constructed with a message, prayer, proverb or blessing inside her head, as well as tied to her wrist. They are meant to bring inspiration and comfort to those who possess them. Proverbial Dolls are carefully made by hand, with love and prayers. If you birthday occurs in the month of the meeting, then please remember to bring the snacks.

We meet on the second Tuesday of each month beginning at 7:00 PM. The meeting location is the lower level of:

The shop is off N. Druid Hills Road next to North DeKalb Mall. Overflow parking is available at the closed bank across from the shop.

The dues are $20 payable annually each May. These dues include:
